To configure your Netgear wireless range extender to the current wireless network, go to the login tab marked “New Extender Setup.” The user must go to mywifiext.net to configure their Netgear range extender, where they will find a login tab for New Extender Configuration to install their wireless range extender. They will then have the opportunity to install their wireless extender and register for a Netgear account. When installing a wireless range extender, users occasionally have trouble accessing the setup page for the new extender. The most frequent issues encountered when installing a range extender are listed below.
Most usual mistakes while setting up a new extender:-
- The Netgear range extender does not have power.
- The wireless extender is placed far from the router.
- An unstable modem- or router-to-modem link
- You are not currently connected to your WiFi network.
HOW TO LOGIN THE NEW EXTENDER SETUP PAGE?
1. Connect the Power of the Netgear Extender
Connect the power outlet to the range extender. Your main modem or router should be in the same room as the extender. Once the installation is complete, you can move the wireless extender to any location that is within the wireless network range of your primary modem or router.
2. Factory Reset the Extender for Netgear Extender Configuration
If you bought a brand-new extender, go to step 3.
You must perform a factory reset if you purchased a used range extender. Press the factory reset pinhole on the range extender’s side for 15 seconds. The power light will change to an amber light to show that your device is rebooting.
Your range extender will display one firm power green light once the factory reset has been accomplished.
The Netgear extender will only have one reliable power green light following a factory reset. It means your extender has been reset to its factory settings.
